Hi, I’m Marc.
Since my childhood in Berlin, cooking has been one of my greatest passions. From an early age, I took every chance I had to cook for my parents—and later, during my university years, I loved preparing meals for friends and roommates. For me, cooking has never been just about making food, but about creating joy, bringing people together, and turning meals into meaningful moments.
For the first three years at The Picnic Company, I dedicated myself wholeheartedly to curating culinary diversity for our clients. Over time, though, I felt the desire to create something different. Not something focused only on work or business (even though I am a true workaholic), but something that would connect people from different cultures—and allow me to connect with them as well.
That’s why, in 2020, I created Pot-Luck Events 4 Friends: a space where food, stories, and friendships come together.
Why Pot-Luck?
Food is more than just nourishment.
Food is memory.
Food is culture.
Food is love.
Every dish tells a story: of your childhood, a special trip, someone you care about—or simply your joy in trying something new. These are the stories we want to share with one another.
How Does It Work?
It’s simple:
- Bring a dish—homemade or bought, it doesn’t matter, as long as it means something to you.
- Bring a drink of your choice—wine, soda, tea, beer… whatever you’d like to share.
- Share the story behind your dish. Maybe it’s your grandmother’s recipe, your favorite food from home, or something you’ve always wanted to try.
- We’ll take care of the rest. We’ll create a cozy picnic setting for you with picnic tables, mattresses, decorations, and more.
